Total Dismantling of 600 Aluminum Pots in Kitimat, BC
This large-scale, long-term project involved totally dismantling 600 aluminum pots at a remote site. The work was carried out by a highly qualified team and with local Aboriginal Indigenous community members on an operating site. The challenge was to develop a method and an optimal sequence relevant to the complex decommissioning that also included segregating and managing of over 100,000 tonnes of metals and hazardous aluminum by-products.
